Our most popular resort and for a very simple reason......

The great advantage of the Saas Valley’s snow sports area is that it has guaranteed snow. Because of its high altitude with pistes up to 3600m above sea-level and the ski area on the glacier, skiing is guaranteed all year round.

At 1800m, the wide beginners’ runs (with 3 separate ski lifts) in the village provide one of the best learning areas in Europe. Progressions higher up, above 2500m, are also excellent for the beginners. Intermediates and above can utilise the swift lift systems all the way up to 3600m for fantastic views and superb skiing.

The accommodations are in Saas Grund. This is situated just a 5 min coach ride from the traffic free village of Saas Fee. For a small additional amount it is also possible to use the ski area at Saas Grund and here you can come closest to the glacier, literally skiing between triangular ice formations. Ski and boot storage (optional) is possible  in Saas Fee and this is adjacent to the beginners lifts, so the children don't have to carry their skis each day through Saas Fee and can use their own walking shoes to and from the hotel and the ski slopes.

There is plenty to do in the evenings. Swimming is possible each evening until 9pm in Saas Fee and you can  ice skate in both Saas Fee and Saas Grund.

There is also a snow-tubing park in Saas Grund, which can be hired privately, in the evening by groups. This is always very popular. Another evening that is always popular is pizza/ice cream in the Hotel Tenne, which has its own pizza oven.

Saas Grund over half-term and Easter put on a ski demonstration evening with fireworks on Wednesday nights and this has also been  a great hit with our school clients.

Sometimes our ski teachers in conjunction with the school staff, give the kids a break from skiing and visit the ice caves right at the very top of Saas Fee. This is truely a memorable experience.
